A Neighborhood Council (NC) Letter or Resolution, requests specific action from a City agency or City Official, on an urgent or much-needed community issue/request. Although a Letter or Resolution can be submitted as part of a Community Impact Statement (CIS) on pending or active city legislation, a Letter or Resolution typically calls on City Officials to create necessary legislation as part of a 'call to action' on a community concern or request.

This is one of several avenues, a Neighborhood Council has to communicate with the City, or other civic organizations, to weigh on necessary action for the betterment of the community.  The DLANC also submit letters in support of specific organizations' requests for action and regularly submits statements as part of our land use project review process to the Department of City Planning.
