Packed meeting last night as we hosted a presentat Packed meeting last night as we hosted a presentation, Q&A, and public forum about the @metrolosangeles Broadway Bus Priority Lane Project. More than 50 community leaders showed up to voice concerns, with folks either speaking or in attendance from @historiccore, @downtown_la, @broadway.west, @dtla_ra, @spna.dtla, @dtlaproud, @fastlinkdtla, @cd14losangeles, and @mayorofla’s office.

During the meeting, Metro announced that they were scaling back the project to one lane, a change that would preserve pedestrian space that includes the @grandcentralmarketla and @ilcaffe.la outdoor seating.

As you can see, Downtown shows up, is organized, and united!

DLANC also voted to support the CEQA appeal for First and Broadway/Altamed/El Corazon Art Park Project.

Our goal is always to shine a light and add transparency to these important decisions. We’re honored to be the place where these conversations can happen!

DTLA Votes! The rest of the country is OBSESSED w DTLA Votes!

The rest of the country is OBSESSED with us and our primary here in Los Angeles.

And we’re obsessed with us too!

DTLA showed up big this election with many, many candidates coming Downtown to meet with voters and discuss issues, thanks largely in part to organizing efforts from resident groups like @dtla_ra.

Downtown demands a lot from our elected officials. We show up and we are organized.

In California and Los Angeles we prioritize making voting easy, safe, and secure. We were allowed to mail our ballots in right up until Election Day. And that’s why it takes a little longer for them to be counted and verified.

So don’t worry. You can sit back and relax and watch the results come in, once per day around 4pm when LA County @lacountyrrcc releases the daily vote count.

This morning our president, Jens, was at City Hall This morning our president, Jens, was at City Hall to advocate for $100M for safer streets, bike lanes, & walkable neighborhoods.

The motion to hire the 25 positions needed to deliver LA’s Active Transportation Program (ATP) Cycle 6 projects passed unanimously at Transportation Committee today. Now it moves forward to Budget & Finance Committee and then hopefully the full City Council. ATP is a state program to encourage increased use of active modes of transportation, such as walking and biking. These funds benefit a number of communities in LA including Downtown’s own Skid Row.

DLANC is on it!
