National Night Out
National Night Out is an annual event where communities across the country connect with law enforcement .The focus of National Night Out is to get neighborhoods actively involved in preventing crime in their community and getting the chance to meet their local law enforcement officers who protect and serve the community. Law enforcement agencies across the country celebrate this event in their jurisdictions and in their cities on this same night.
Central Division’s National Night Out will be taking place:
Tuesday August 6th, 2024 at Pershing Square in DTLA
532 S. Olive st. 6pm-9pm
Here is a brief overview of what will be at the event:
- LAPD Police Chief Choi will make a brief appearance!
- Council Member Kevin De Leon will be present!
- There will also be coverage by KTLA News – they will provide a photo booth to take pictures that will be uploaded to Channel 5. KTLA channel 5 might possibly have Live Coverage Later in the evening anytime between 7-830 approx
- There will be several food trucks with great food – Hibachi , Teddy’s Red Tacos (Birria Tacos), Heritage Kitchen (American style food), and Baja Shrimp food truck.
- There will be (4) acts of live entertainment that CD14 has put together. Great Music!
- Approx. 15 Law Enforcement Booths
- Approx. 15-17 Vendor Booths w/ great businesses and food!
- Face Painting, water games & activities for kids!
- Vintage LAPD Police Cars!
- Vintage Motorcycles / vehicles!
- Central/ CTD Cadets Honor/Color Guard!
