DLANC Rooftop LA Photo Contest

DLANC|Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council is inviting photographers to help visually define our city.

We are seeking wide, panoramic photographs of Los Angeles to replace the rotating header images on dlanc.com. Selected photos will appear prominently at the top of our website and help represent Downtown LA to residents, stakeholders, and visitors.

What We’re Looking For

Rooftop views of Los Angeles
Downtown, skyline, architectural, or city-at-dusk shots
Images that capture the character, scale, or energy of the city
Clean compositions that work well as website headers

Image Format (Important)

Exact size: 2000 × 600 pixels
Very wide and shallow (panoramic)
Keep key visual elements centered — edges may be cropped slightly on different screens
High-resolution, sharp, and well-exposed

If your image does not work well at this aspect ratio, it will not be selected.

How Many Will Be Chosen

Six (6) images will be selected to rotate as header images on dlanc.com

Prize / Recognition

There is no monetary prize.

Selected photographers will receive:

Their photo featured on the DLANC website
Public credit on a “Photo Contest Winners” page
A link to their website or social media from that page

The prize is recognition, visibility, and the pride of helping visually represent Los Angeles.

Rights & Permissions

By submitting a photo, you confirm that:

You own the rights to the image
You grant DLANC permission to display the image on its website and related promotional materials
You retain full ownership of your photo

DLANC will not sell submitted images or use them outside of DLANC communications without permission.

Open to photographers of all experience levels
Must have the legal right to submit the image
