You may have seen a street takeover this weekend t You may have seen a street takeover this weekend that turned into a break-in of a residential building.

We have a zero tolerance for street takeovers and have been advocating since at least 2021 to prevent and end street racing downtown.

This break-in crosses a further line and makes residents feel unsafe in their buildings.

DTLA is no longer a playground for street racing. It’s a residential community that’s grown from 18,000 to 90,000 residents in the last 30 years.

This is the most walkable neighborhood in LA and we will continue to push to slow cars down and make residents feel safe.

🌳 Have Your Say in the Future of LA Parks 🌳 Los A 🌳 Have Your Say in the Future of LA Parks 🌳

Los Angeles is conducting a citywide Parks Needs Assessment to decide where funding and improvements should go over the next several years, and your neighborhood’s voice matters.

This assessment looks at:
• Park access and equity
• Safety and cleanliness
• Recreation programs
• Trees and green space
• Facilities like playgrounds, courts, and restrooms

The results will guide millions of dollars in future park investments, especially in communities that have been historically underserved.

👉 Find out more:
https://needs.parks.lacity.gov/

Whether you use parks for walking, sports, family time, or just breathing room, this is your chance to help shape what LA’s parks become.

More responses = more visibility for our community.

Please take a few minutes and make your voice count.
This week was the @lahomelessservices Homeless Cou This week was the @lahomelessservices Homeless Count! It is a very important week that helps decide how resources are deployed. Our president, Jens, was out counting in DTLA with Mark Hood, the new CEO of @unionrescuemission.

According to the count, homelessness has dropped slightly over the last two years but remains a major problem in LA County and in DTLA.

Help Shape the Future of Transportation in Los Ang Help Shape the Future of Transportation in Los Angeles

The City of Los Angeles is developing its first-ever Mobility Action Plan, a long-term roadmap that will guide how LA invests in streets, sidewalks, transit, biking, and walking, over the next 5-20 years.

The goal is to create a transportation system that:
* Creates safer streets for everyone
* Builds better connections across neighborhoods
* Provides affordable and environmentally friendly ways to get around

Your input will directly influence how transportation investments are prioritized over the next five years and beyond. By sharing your experiences and priorities, you’ll help plan a safer, more accessible, and connected transportation system for everyone in DTLA.
