THE CATHEDRAL OF OUR LADY OF THE ANGELS

Across from downtown and the world's busiest freeway interchange (used by an estimated 550,000 vehicles a day!) is the L.A. Archdiocese' new Cathedral of our Lady of the Angels (555 W.Temple St, LA 90012). The church's great bronze doors symbolize a bridge over which believers may travel on a journey of faith. The doors, designed by the Mexican born, L.A. sculptor, Robert Graham, required 150 artisans and nearly five years to complete.

2010 Budget Proposal (As of April 30, 2009)

Before the Neighborhood Council budget was cut by 10% to $45,000, the Sustainability Committee developed this 2009-2010 budget proposal for approval by the DLANC Board of Directors. The Executive Committee and Sustainability Committee agreed to a budget of $6,000 for the year.
