Here’s a summary of the action from last night’s joint meeting of the DLANC Planning & Land Use and Affordable Housing/Social Services Committees.

Agenda Item:

1.      Call to order and roll call.

2.      Public comment – None.

3.      Presentation by Molly Rysman (Skid Row Housing Trust) regarding Pershing Hotel project at 500-502 S. Main Street.
Action:  PLUC and AH/SS Committees provided feedback on preliminary project design and development proposal.  Committees will continue to monitor project and provide feedback and/or support as appropriate.

4.      Presentation by Beth Sandor (Common Ground) regarding proposed purchase of Rosslyn Hotel at 114 W. 5^th Street.
Item continued to a future meeting; date and time to be determined.

5.      Future agenda items – None.

6.      Board member comment.
Patti Berman gave an update on the proposed acquisition of a potential Historic Core park site at 418-438 S. Spring Street.  She also noted the on-going efforts to create a pet-friendly area in the Palm Court section of Pershing Square.
