UNION STATION
Los Angeles Union Station is the hub of L.A. transportation. Opened in May 1939, it is known as “the last of the great railway stations” built in the U.S. It currently services approximately 400 train departures each weekday and has 14 train tracks: 2 for the Gold Line, 2 for the Red and Purple Lines and 10 shared by Amtrak, Amtrak California, and Metrolink. Think of the romance of travel on the Texas Eagle, Coast Starlight, Sunset Limited and the Southwest Chief.
